Mike Martindale is a co-host on KEEL Radio's morning show--Mike and McCarty. Actually, he is just a stand in on a show that is really Erin's.

Practically every week, if not more, Mike uses the word "ass" in reference to his body. Seemingly he delights in using this word on the air. It's doubtful he would say "ass" in his men's bible class at Broadmoor Baptist Church or in a conversation with his minister. But then maybe he would.

Maybe Mike has a limited vocabulary. Is so, here are some words that are synonyms for "ass":
- backside
- behind
- butt
- derriere
- fanny
- rump
- rear

And in case Mike is not familiar with the word "synonym", it means a word that has the same or nearly the same meaning as another word.

Some people use the word "ass" as a term to describe someone who is a fool or a jerk. Maybe that term should be used to describe Mike and his language on the KEEL radio show.

Martindale's frequent use of the word "ass" is a negative reflection on McCarty and KEEL Radio. Hopefully someone high up in the KEEL food chain reads this column and takes appropriate action.
