The Feb. 14 issue of The Inquisitor was the first media report of litigation filed by two hangar owners against the Shreveport Airport Authority (SAA)and the City of Shreveport.
The suit alleges that the new ground leases required by the SAA have caused a major decrease in value of their hangars. The Caddo and Bossier Tax Assessors have both reduced the values of privately owned hangars at Shreveport Regional Airport and the Shreveport Downtown Airport were reduced sixty per cent.
On Wed. Feb. 19, a petition for intervention in the pending litigation by an additional 29 hangar owners.
