WHO ELSE WILL RUN FOR BOSSIER CITY JUDGE?

Santi Parks is the only public candidate for the Bossier City judge election this fall.

The judgeship will become a full-time position after this election. Currently, it is a part-time job.

Parks and Wilson have shared offices for many years. Wilson is reportedly campaigning behind the scenes for Parks.

Other names that have been mentioned include Allie Alleo, Cynthia Carroll-Bridges, Dale Montgomery and Randy Robinson. All of these individuals would be good candidates against Parks.

Allie is a part-time assistant Bossier District attorney like Parks. She is well-liked, and she comes from an established Bossier family.

Cynthia has twice run unsuccessfully for district judge. She has a law practice in Shreveport.

Dale is also a part-time assistant Bossier District attorney. The Montgomery family is a Bossier institution.

Randy is well-liked, and he has maintained a general practice of law in Bossier City for many years. Randy has considered judicial elections in prior years.

Citizens should have more than one choice in any election for an open seat, and especially for a judgeship. Very rarely are incumbent judges defeated, and the winner of this election this year will probably have the job for life.
