John came to Shreveport in January of 1977 when he was transferred to Barksdale AFB.

He’s been active in Shreveport politics since deciding to make Shreveport his home.

John practiced law for 40 years and he now monitors local politics. He regularly attends Shreveport City Council and Caddo Parish Commission meetings.

John is published weekly in The Inquisitor, bi-monthly in The Forum News, and frequently in the Shreveport Times.

He enjoys addressing civic groups on local government issues and elections.

COVID-19 came energetically. An energy to disrupt. An energy that did disrupt. Now because of COVID-19, life as we all knew it stopped.

A virus, COVID-19 did not just disrupt lives. COVID-19 disrupted businesses.

Now quarantine. What impact of quarantine would be met on our lives as well as businesses was about to be seen.

The governor’s proclamation, “stay at home,” was to lessen the impact of COVID-19. No gatherings, first of 50, then 10 put a damper on businesses for sure.

The Caddo Parish Commission, how would it take care of the parish’s business?
