WHAT'S BEHIND THE BIG SHAKEUP AT CADDO JUVENILE COURT?

Louisiana Supreme Court Justice Scott Crichton has overall supervising authority over the Caddo Juvenile Court and its three judges---Ree Casey-Jones, Natalie Howell, Justin Courtney.

Justice Crichton has previously appointed an appellate court judge from south Louisiana to have direct supervision of the court. This order removed this authority from chief judge Ree Casey-Jones.

Hearing officer Michelle Perkins, a long-time court employee, was placed on administrative leave this week by Justice Crichton.

No other details are available at this time on the reasons for both of Justice Crichton's actions.
