ROY BURRELL, CALVIN LESTER, ALANA OLDHAM, HELEN GODFREY SMITH--DO THEY HAVE BAGGAGE AS CANDIDATES FOR THE DEMOCRATIC STATE CENTRAL COMMITTEE?

Elections for the Democrat State Central Committee will be in March of next year.

Voters should be aware of information of record concerning several of the candidates.

Roy Burrell has not filed his State of Louisiana tax returns for 2020, 2021, and 2022.

Calvin Lester has outstanding fines of approximately $1300 to the Louisiana Ethics Commission for failure to timely file campaign finance reports.

Alana Oldham has not filed State of Louisiana tax returns for the years 2017-2020.

Helen Godfrey-Smith plead guilty to federal charges of false documents that lead to the closure of the Shreveport Federal Credit Union.

If these offices had been for a public office versus political party organization these individuals probably could not qualify. Whether or not Democrat voters will take these factors into consideration will be answered next year.
