John came to Shreveport in January of 1977 when he was transferred to Barksdale AFB.

He’s been active in Shreveport politics since deciding to make Shreveport his home.

John practiced law for 40 years and he now monitors local politics. He regularly attends Shreveport City Council and Caddo Parish Commission meetings.

John is published weekly in The Inquisitor, bi-monthly in The Forum News, and frequently in the Shreveport Times.

He enjoys addressing civic groups on local government issues and elections.

 

BIG SHAKE UP AT COUNCIL ON ALCOHOLISM & DRUG ABUSE (CADA)

Word has seeped out that there was a big shakeup in the management of the Council on Alcoholism & Drug Abuse (CADA) earlier this month.

Long time executive director Bill Rose and chief administrative officer Donna Posey are no longer employees of CADA. Reportedly they were fired or given the opportunity to resign. No other details is known about their dismissals.

CADA offers many programs to assistance citizens with additions.

In Nov. CADA was selected as the northwest Louisiana's crisis response service provider.

In Oct. of this year, CADA celebrated its 60th anniversary.
