BREAKING NEW : COUNCIL INTERVIEWS FOR DIRECTOR OF COUNCIL AFFAIRS WILL BE MONDAY, FEB. 28

Finally, reason has prevailed.

Actually Louisiana law on Open Meetings.

Evidently someone in the Shreveport city council clerk's office  read the La. Open Meetings Law.

Or better yet read the texts and emails I sent to all council members on this issue as well as the columns I have posted on FaceBook and sent out to almost 5000 people on Mailchimp.

The proposed secret meetings on this Friday for three commission committee/panels have been CANCELLED.

Now the Shreveport city council will now have the interviews in the administrative conference/work session on Mon. Feb. 27 at 3 p.m.

What the procedure of questioning the candidates and voting is an unknown at this time.

If the procedure is followed in setting up the committee/panel interviews the answers to those questions will probably not be revealed to the public must less all the council members.
