SHREVEPORT ZBA LETS WHOLE FOODS SELL HARD LIQUOR

The Shreveport Zoning Board of Appeals have granted an exception to allow the Whole Foods to sell hard liquor.

Whole Foods is located within 1000 feet of the Kroger’s on Youree Drive--barely, like less than 50 feet.

This exception cannot be appealed by those opponents to the city council.

Any appeal must be made by opponents to the First Judicial District Court.

This decision sets a precedent.

What the long-term impact of this decision will be is unknown.
