John came to Shreveport in January of 1977 when he was transferred to Barksdale AFB.

He’s been active in Shreveport politics since deciding to make Shreveport his home.

John practiced law for 40 years and he now monitors local politics. He regularly attends Shreveport City Council and Caddo Parish Commission meetings.

John is published weekly in The Inquisitor, bi-monthly in The Forum News, and frequently in the Shreveport Times.

He enjoys addressing civic groups on local government issues and elections.

 

CADDO EARLY VOTING STARTS THIS SATURDAY MARCH 9

The March 23 election will be for Caddo Sheriff, United States presidential candidates, Caddo Republican Party Executive Committee, and Caddo Democrat Party Executive Committee.

The Caddo Commission District 7 commissioner is also on the ballot.

Voters in the Town of Greenwood can vote on mayor, district alderman and alderman at large.

Early voting will be held at the Caddo Registrar of Voters office at 525 Marshall Street, which is at the corner of Marshall and Milam Streets. The second site for early voting is the Hamilton Branch Shreve Memorial Library, 2111 Bert Kouns.

Dates for early voting are March 9 through March 16, with the exception of Sunday March 10. Polls are open from 8:30 a.m. until 6 p.m.

Voters should bring proof of identification, such as driver's license, governmental ID. etc.
