OOPS--THE COMPUTER DOG FAILED TO GIVE CREDIT TO LIZ SWAINE OF SHREVEPORT-BOSSIER  CITY ADVOCATE FOR BREAKING THIS STORY--APOLOGY AND KUDOS TO HER!

SWEPCO has just posted notices on entrances  to the two Regions Bank buildings on Texas Street with a demand for long overdue electricity bills. The notice states that electricity will be cut off on Monday, Aug. 26 , or after.

Many unfilled promises have been made for payment of the bill that is in the thousands.

The two Regions buildings are owned by Hertz Investment Group of Sherman Oaks, Ca. This group purchased the buildings in 1999, and they are one of over 40 properties nationwide owned by this company.

DDA reports that the Regions Bank Building occupancy is 83% and the Regions Tower is 80% occupancy.

SWEPCO is to be commended for aggressive collection action on large unpaid bills.

Public Service Commissioner Foster Campbell has openly condemned SWEPCO for recent power outages, even though he has not voted for increases in funds for tree clearance for over 10 years.

Maybe Campbell will hold another press conference praising SWEPCO--not sure you should hold your breath.
