John came to Shreveport in January of 1977 when he was transferred to Barksdale AFB.

He’s been active in Shreveport politics since deciding to make Shreveport his home.

John practiced law for 40 years and he now monitors local politics. He regularly attends Shreveport City Council and Caddo Parish Commission meetings.

John is published weekly in The Inquisitor, bi-monthly in The Forum News, and frequently in the Shreveport Times.

He enjoys addressing civic groups on local government issues and elections.

 

INJUNCTION IS SOUGHT TO PREVENT SCHOOL BOARD INTERVIEW WITH BURTON

A lawsuit has just been filed in Caddo District Court seeking to restrain the scheduled interview tomorrow morning by the Caddo School Board with Keith Burton for the superintendent position.

The plaintiffs are Roy Cary, The Peoples Promise Youth Division and All Streets All People.

The named defendants are interim superintendent Leisa Woodfork and the Caddo Parish School Board.

The suit has been assigned to Caddo Judge Brady O'Callaghan.

The ligation requests that O'Callaghan stop the interview scheduled to begin tomorrow Sept.11 at 9 a.m.
