CLUB HAZE OWNER CHELLETTE HOLDEN CRYING WOLF OVER DOWNTOWN VIOLENCE?

Weekend violence in downtown Shreveport claimed the life of two and sent another two persons to the hospital. The incidents occurred in the 200 block of Texas Street near the Club Haze nightclub in the early morning hours of Saturday, March 15.

Chellette Holden is the owner of Club Haze. She has complained that the shootings did NOT occur in Club Haze in an email to councilman Gary Brooks and Mayor Tom Arceneaux.

Hmmm.

See the ad that was posted on social media for a "Drunk March Madness" on Friday, March 14 at Club Haze.

Maybe Club Haze was actually closed at the time of the shootings. However, pictures and video show fights and other violence outside Club Haze near the time of the shootings.

Fire code violations have been frequent at this club. Reportedly, the club has more patrons than allowed by the fire codes on Friday night.

Holden is a member of the DDA Board of Directors.
