Tonight's election analysts for KTAL news station are Stephen Parr and Rev. Theron Jackson. Jackson is the minister of Morningstar Baptist Church.
Jackson has endorsed Adrian Perkins for mayor and one or more council candidates.
KSLA will have Shreveport councilman Grayson Boucher and former Shreveport councilman Willie Bradford as their political commentators.
Boucher has made donations to Tom Arceneaux and LeVette Fuller for mayor and one or more council candidates. Bradford is a major known supporter of Greg Tarver and is supporting at least one council candidate Scott Hughes is the analyst for KTBS. Hughes always stays politically neutral.
Hughes will be joined by big time Republican activist Royal Alexander who has endorsed/supported all the Republican candidates in the local election.
Hopefully the comments of the commentators will be objective and not tainted by their personal preferences and endorsements. Unfortunately, that is highly unlikely considering the past actions/habits/interviews of some of these politicos.
Comments concerning candidates who will be in a run-off election should be carefully made to not prejudice the Dec. 10 election.
Seemingly all three of these local stations can and should do better in the Dec. 10 general election.
Shreveport citizens and local advertisers should demand changes.
