John came to Shreveport in January of 1977 when he was transferred to Barksdale AFB.

He’s been active in Shreveport politics since deciding to make Shreveport his home.

John practiced law for 40 years and he now monitors local politics. He regularly attends Shreveport City Council and Caddo Parish Commission meetings.

John is published weekly in The Inquisitor, bi-monthly in The Forum News, and frequently in the Shreveport Times.

He enjoys addressing civic groups on local government issues and elections.

 

THE APPLICANTS FOR THE SHREVEPORT COUNCIL'S DIRECTOR OF COUNCIL AFFAIRS

Six applicants have applied for the newly created position of Director of Council Affairs for the Shreveport City Council Clerk's office.

1. Rick Crenshaw who is the Assistant to the Division Manager with SPAR Buildings Maintenance. He is a graduate of Louisiana Tech University.

2. Shanerika M. Flemings who served as Executive Counselor to Mayor Adrian Perkins. She is a graduate of Southern University Law Center.

3. R.J. Johnson who is the Director of Accreditation for a multi-state healthcare organization. He has a Master of Public Administration from University of Louisiana-Monroe and a Master of Business Administration for Southern New Hampshire University.

4. Tony Nations who is the pastor of Central Christian Church and a former Caddo School Board member. He is a graduate from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and LSUS.

5. Dianna Thomas who is the Director of Security for Pierre Bossier Mall and a retired SPD officer. She is a graduate of Centenary College.

6. La Tasha Washington who is the Executive Assistant to the Chair of the Department of Internal Medicine as LSU Health Shreveport School of Medicine. She has an MBA from Ashford University and an undergraduate degree from Purdue University.
