SHOULD SHREVEPORT CITY MARSHAL JEFFERSON BE CAMPAIGNING  IN UNIFORM FOR WHITEHORN AND REFERRING TO A "SIDE PIECE"?

James Jefferson is the Shreveport City Marshal.

Here is a recent posting on his city marshal's Facebook:

Jefferson has the right as a private citizen to campaign for the candidate of his choice. However campaigning in his Shreveport city marshal uniform raises questons.

Additionally, his message is disturbing in part--"take your...side piece WHOEVER" to go vote.

The Urban Dictionary defines 'side piece" as "a girl on the side, a girl you call up at 2 a.m. and she knows what’s up, no attachments..." In other words, she's the mistress  or the other woman.'

Presumably, Sheriff candidate Henry Whitehorn has blessed the posting.
