MAJOR INVESTIGATION REVEALS NO NEW EVIDENCE IN BREWSTER DEATH

A blue ribbon task force was formed to investigate the death of Annie Brewster. Specifically, the focus was to find ANY credible evidence to support a finding that her death was NOT suicide.

Here are the agencies:

a. Shreveport Police Department

b. Caddo Coroner

c. Caddo Sheriff Office

d. Caddo DA Office

e. Louisiana State Police

f. Shreveport City Attorney Office

g. U.S. Attorney

h. FBI.

Today's press conference revealed NO new evidence other than Brewster's death was suicide, as it had been reported.

Caddo Coroner Todd Thoma had the suspected suicide note examined by a forensic expert who opined the "suicide note" was written by Brewster as a suicide note.

Thomas also stated at the press conference there was no credible evidence to justify exhuming the body. The funeral home had washed the body and embalmed. Removal of the bullet in her head would not have led to any evidence because the gun that fired the bullet was never discovered.

If any new credible evidence surfaces, the combined task force will review the same further determination of any needed action.
